The Final Envrionmental Impact Statement
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Black Hills Health Care System announces
the availability of the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) regarding the
proposal to reconfigure our health care system.  The document carefully evaluates
the possible environmental effects of VA’s preferred alternative to reconfigure as
well as six other alternatives.  The EIS identifies the measures to mitigate adverse
environmental effects.  It also addresses the comments received from Veterans,
stakeholders, government agencies, and members of the public during the Draft
EIS comment period that was open from October 2015 to June 2016.
