On Saturday, Dec. 11 the Wreaths Across America ceremony took place at the Black Hills National Cemetery, the Hot Springs National Cemetery.

During the ceremony at Hot Springs National Cemetery, seven wreaths were placed to honor Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, and POW/MIA. A moment of silence was observed, an Honor Guard fired a three rifle volley, and Taps was played. Afterwards, attendees were invited to place donated wreaths at individual graves. A similar ceremony was held at the same time at the Black Hills National Cemetery.

This touching ceremony is sponsored by the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and Wreaths Across America. It is held annually in December at National Cemeteries across the country.
