VA Black Hills Health Care System (BHHCS) Volunteers were honored for their many hours of service during an annual Volunteer Recognition Holiday Party.

This year, VA BHHCS has received the benefit of approximately 34,726 regularly scheduled volunteer hours. Multiplied by the $15.60 per hour average value, shows that volunteers have provided services that would have cost $541,725.60 to VA BHHCS.

“One hour is all that it takes – you can do so much for a Veteran in that hour,” VA BHHCS Director Steve DiStasio said. “I thank you for the many hours you’ve given.”
