VA Black Hills Health Care System relies on the sacrifice and willingness of hundreds of dedicated Volunteers.

This is a special salute to the Volunteers who serve the needs of Veteran patients who depend upon our Volunteer Transportation Network (VTN) to travel to and from their appointments at our main medical centers.

VA Black Hills supports eleven DAV vans and their volunteers through VTN. Thousands of Veterans from sites throughout our service area of South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska and Montana are transported each year.

Pictured are volunteer drivers from the Winner, SD area who transport our Veterans 3 ½ hours one way to ensure our Veterans’ health care needs are met.   The Winner VTN drivers, some who have served twenty years in their volunteer positions are to be commended and provide a true example of our dedicated volunteers.

We’re very grateful for all of our dedicated volunteers here at VA Black Hills Health Care.
