The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Black Hills Health Care System will be offering seasonal flu vaccine clinics for enrolled Veterans at the following locations and times:


Fort Meade VA Medical Center

Special Flu Vaccine Clinic

October 25 & 26
8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
room 178 of building 113 

Flu shots are also available on a walk-in basis during the times below:

Monday – Friday,
7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Waiting Room 1 and 2 

Flu shots are also available during a regularly scheduled appointment with their Primary Care provider.

Hot Springs VA Medical Center

Walk-in Flu Vaccine Clinics

Beginning October 18
Room A048

Monday, Wednesday and Friday
12:30 – 4 p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday
8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Closed for lunch 12 - 12:30 p.m.)

Flu shots are also available during a regularly scheduled appointment with their Primary Care provider.

Rapid City VA Clinic

Special Flu Vaccine Clinic

October 30 & 31
9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Flu shots are available by appointment after October 31.

 

Veterans are advised to call prior to their vaccination to ensure vaccine is available.  Please call 800-743-1070 or 800-764-5370, press #3 then #3 again, and listen to the recorded message which will provide you with the most current information on clinics and vaccine availability.

Veterans are asked to bring their VA identification card.  
  
Flu vaccination is an important measure to protect you from the influenza virus.  Also remember to wash your hands frequently, cover your cough and sneezes, and stay home and away from others if you are ill.  For more information regarding the flu, contact the flu line at the number listed above.
