VA Black Hills Pharmacist Obtain Board Certification
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Black Hills Health Care System's Pharmacy Department is proud to announce that Tara Butler, RPh and Kelly Moran, Pharm.D. have successfully obtained their Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) Certification.
To obtain this level of certification Ms. Butler and Moran were required to meet a rigorous national standard and possess of level of training, experience, knowledge and skill that is deemed essential to providing advanced level pharmaceutical care.
Only 55% of pharmacists who take the certification obtained a passing score this year and there are only 7766 BCPS certifications throughout the world.
VA Black Hills Health Care System is proud to employ pharmacists that are willing, capable and excel at this type of certification. This certification reveals the employee's personal goals and achievements, but is also a testament to the care they choose to provide to the Veterans served by VA Black Hills Health Care System.
Ms. Butler and Moran are not only committed to providing the best in pharmacy care, but have reached beyond the standard through their education and certification to ensure that the Veterans they serve receive the best care possible; through research, statistical studies, and recognizing the patient care process as not only dispensing medications, but reaching beyond to engage in the VA Black Hills Health Care System Veteran care process.
