Mailing Error
A portion of the letter sent to some of our area Veterans by mistake. If you have received this letter, please disregard it.
VA Black Hills Health Care System has identified that some South Dakota, Nebraska and Wyoming Veterans have recently received letters from the VA’s Health Eligibility Center in Atlanta, Georgia in error. These letters indicate that the Veteran has been assigned to Fort Meade for their primary health care services.
Veterans should disregard these letters; they are inaccurate and resulted from a computer programming error.
VA Black Hills Health Care System’s Director, Steve DiStasio, confirms "We have been notified by the Health Eligibility Center that an error has occurred. A Veteran’s primary VA health care facility is changed only at a Veteran’s request. We are so sorry for the confusion this has caused."
