Wednesday, June 22, 2011

VA Black Hills Health Care System (BHHCS) joined forces recently with several community resource organizations, veterans service organizations, local businesses, friends and family members  at two Veteran Stand Down and Benefit Fairs.  Black Hills Regional Homeless Coalition sponsored their "Homeless Connect Day" in Rapid City on June 9.  BHHCS staff were there to provide information and answer questions on VA benefits and programs as well as handing out personal care and food items.

BHHCS also hosted a Stand Down and Benefits Fair at Pine Ridge on June 10.  Over 120 Veterans were provided information, services, personal care items and a meal sponsored by the Crazy Thunder family.
