Department of Veterans Affairs Black Hills Health Care System offers Introduction to Whole Health Classes

VA Black Hills Health Care System (BHHCS) is offering several Introduction to Whole Health classes open to all Veterans, even those not currently enrolled in VA health care. The sessions are designed to inform participants about VA’s approach to health care that invites Veterans to take charge of their health and well-being so they can live their lives to the fullest. Whole Health focuses on the goals and aspirations of each Veteran.

The classes are peer led, meaning Veterans who are familiar with the unique challenges of life’s transitions will teach the classes and help their fellow Veterans discover additional resources for improving health and overall well-being. Those resources include self-care; complimentary therapies like acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and mindfulness; and conventional medical care.

The classes are free and there is no need to pre-register.
