VA Black Hills Health Care System (VABHHCS) is proud of the heritage and historical significance of our VA Hot Springs Campus.

Battle Mountain Sanitarium, which is now home to our VA Hot Springs Campus, was designated a National Historic Landmark on June 17, 2011.  As caretakers of the National Historic Landmark we are initiating consultation meetings with interested parties as described under Sections 106 and 110(f) of the National Historic Preservation Act.

The intent of the first meeting is to discuss historical impacts that proposals for changes at the VA Hot Springs Campus may have. Interested parties are encouraged to attend.
