Dental - Our dental services offers a full spectrum of diagostic, surgical, restorative, and preventive procedures  services to eligible veterans.  To find out if you are eligible for dental benefits go to the Federal Benefits for Veterans and Dependents.

Diagnostics -Both Fort Meade and Hot Springs have comprehensive laboratory and radiology services, including tele-radiology.

Extended Care and Rehabilitation Services - The Extended Care and Rehabilitation Program provides physical medicine and rehabilitation, transitional care, as well as home and community care. Are you a Caregiver? VA has resources to support you http://www.caregiver.va.gov/

Medical Foster Homes - When living at home becomes difficult, most people would rather remain in a home-like setting than move to a nursing home. In moments like this, the VA Medical Foster Home (MFH) program is here to help.

Mental Health -The Mental Health Program provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact emotional well-being. For more about our progrmas, including our semi-annual women's retreat, click here 

Minority Veterans - The goal of the VA Black Hills Minority Veterans Program Coordinators (MVPC) is to provide and promote the use of VA programs, benefits, and services used by minority veterans to make benefits and services more accessible to minority veterans and to evaluate current programs and make recommendations on how the VA can better serve minority veterans.  You can reach the VA Black Hills Minority Veterans program at 1-800-764-5370, extension 2333; or, 1-800-743-1070, extension 7337. Palliative and Hospice Care - UNITED WE STAND, ...To prevent pain and relieve holistic suffering.   ...To provide support to enable the best quality of life.   …So YOU can live well. Our Palliative and Hospice Care Team is here to serve you and your loved ones. Patient Education - The staff at VA Black Hills Health Care System cares about you and your family. Your health is important to us. We want to assist you in learning how to live a healthy lifestyle and to learn ways to self-manage your own health. There are a number of health education resources available to Veterans at no cost. Pharmacy - Our Pharmacy processes hundreds of prescriptions daily.  Prescriptions may be refilled by mail, phone, or online at My HealtheVet. 

Polytrauma System of Care - The Polytrauma System of Care reflects the VA’s commitment to care for the men and women who have served in uniform.  The reality of combat is that some veterans return with severe injuries and/or traumatic brain injuries. more information... 

Primary and Specialty Medicine - The Primary Care program offers an extensive range of treatments with an emphasis on health care prevention.

Research -The Research and Development Program enhances our ability to provide state-of-the-art medical techniques and treatments to veterans.

Spinal Cord Injury - VA Black Hills Health Care System is part of the largest single network of SCI care in the nation. The VA integrates vocational, psychological and social services within a continuum of care and addresses changing needs throughout the veteran’s life. For more information, click here
